Boys love their daddy!

Our boys really love their daddy. He is lots of fun. They really like to play, but they like the love, too! It's not often that you get a daddy as great as theirs!

A Boy of Many Hats

Lucas is a hat man. He loves to wear hats. He calls most of them his "cowboy hat." He wears them everywhere! He has even been known to wear them during his naps...

The Beauty of Brotherhood

When Lucas first encountered Liam, he thought it was "interesting". His first words to his new brother were "Hi baby". At that point in time, I am not certain Lucas fully understood the fact that this was not any random baby his mommy was holding. Since then, Lucas has responded the way any first born would with the advent of a new arrival.

However, as each day passes, his interest grows. He kisses the baby, A LOT, now and wants to rock the baby. He says "My baby brother". Relationships are not built in a day, but it looks like its going to be a case of no matter how cool you are, you are never too cool to take care of your little brother.

Visitors!

We had our first visitors early this afternoon. Nicole's mom, dad, niece, and our oldest son, Lucas visited us in the hospital.

We hope to go home this evening, but it depends on how all of the tests come out with Liam over the remaining course of the day.

Akers Family + 1

At 8:29PM on April 6, 2007 God blessed us, yet again, with our second son. Liam Jackson Akers was born. Liam is a big, healthy boy! He was born 9lbs 9oz, 21 1/2" long. Mom and Liam are both doing very well. We look forward to seeing all of our friends and family in person, but we are providing some pictures to tide everyone over in the meantime.
